FNPF-owned IHG Fiji Hotels—InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel Suva, and Holiday Inn Suva—are taking another step forward in their sustainability journey by joining IHG’s Global “Meeting for Good” Program. This initiative highlights the hotels’ ongoing dedication to hosting environmentally responsible meetings and events, in line with their commitment to responsible business practices through IHG’s Journey to Tomorrow Program.  

At Grand Pacific Hotel Suva, our dedication to community and sustainability drives us to give back through special initiatives. We regularly host events where every coffee sale is donated to impactful causes, aligning with our commitment to positive social and environmental change.

This September, FNPF-owned IHG Hotels in Fiji proudly joined IHG’s global Giving for Good initiative, celebrating a month of positive action, community engagement, and charitable giving. InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel Suva, and Holiday Inn Suva came together to support Fiji’s most vulnerable citizens through meal donations, blood drives, and other community-focused efforts.

Continuing our commitment to supporting education and literacy in our community, Grand Pacific Hotel is proud to announce our second partnership with Fiji Book Drive. As part of this initiative, we have donated FJ$800 to fulfill Fiji Book Drive’s wishlist, facilitating the purchase of 200 books from Waka Publications (University of the South Pacific).

Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva has developed a strong partnership with the Fiji Government’s Ministry of Forestry by purchasing custom, handcrafted Tanoas (Fijian bowls) to be used at the hotel to elevate the guest experience. These handmade wooden bowls are a testament to the Ministry of Forestry’s joint efforts with local Fijian villages in upskilling their residents to create sustainable income opportunities and preserve traditional Fijian culture.

In a move aimed at using technology to enhance guest experiences, FNPF-owned IHG Fiji Hotels & Resorts, including InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel, and Holiday Inn Suva, have announced the implementation of Medallia Zingle’s state-of-the-art messaging platform for guests.

In a collaborative effort, FNPF-owned IHG Fiji Hotels, including InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel, and Holiday Inn Suva, has joined forces with Filter Supplies Pte Ltd to donate a 30kVa Diesel Three-Phase Generator to the Frank Hilton Organization in Suva, Fiji.

In a display of community support, three FNPF-owned IHG Fiji Hotels & Resorts, including InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel, and Holiday Inn Suva, have successfully raised FJ$5,000 for the Fiji Cancer Society through a series of Pinktober fundraising initiatives.

FNPF-owned IHG Fiji Hotels, comprising InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel, and Holiday Inn Suva, are delighted to announce that through a SHAVE IT OR SAVE IT campaign in October 2023, 19 team members have raised FJ$50,000 for WOWS Kids Fiji. This exceeded the initial fundraising target of FJ$40,000.

September was an important month in the calendar for FNPF-owned IHG Fiji Hotels as they launched a number of initiatives for Giving For Good Month. On 16th September 2023, a Car Park Café Grab & Go Breakfast event took place at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva. This event was a collaborative effort by the three hotels, dedicated to supporting the Ministry of Health & Medical Services and the CWM Hospital Oncology Unit. The event featured a live performance by KUKI from the band InsideOut, hot grab-and-go breakfast options, and a total of FJ$10,000 worth of necessary items were pledged to the CWM Hospital Oncology Ward to assist with their vital work.

As part of IHG’s Journey To Tomorrow initiative, the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel and Holiday Inn Suva proudly announce the introduction of compostable single-use water and coffee cups, reaffirming its commitment to both the environment and the local community. Partnering with Fijian-owned manufacturers Portion Pak and Rise Beyond the Reef, this move sets a remarkable precedent for the hospitality industry.
