18th October 2023 (Natadola, Fiji): InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa and Grand Pacific Hotel are excited to launch Tapendium’s innovative Digital Concierge in all guest rooms and suites, aimed at providing a memorable and sustainable luxury experience for guests.

Tapendium’s Digital Concierge utilises tablet-based technology to deliver customised features and unique content tailored to the modern luxury traveller of today. This initiative not only enhances the in-room guest experience but also reduces paper waste, aligning with IHG’s Journey to Tomorrow commitment to make a positive difference for our people, communities and planet.

Key features of the Tapendium digital concierge include:

Room Service: Guests can easily browse and order from dynamic room service menus. The technology integrates seamlessly with each hotel’s operating system, enabling guest orders to be sent directly in the kitchen for the chefs to prepare, with room charges automatically added to the guest’s account. This enhances efficiency and improves the accuracy of orders.

Digital Concierge: Guests can request housekeeping items and services such as extra towels, buggy transfers, and additional pillows. They can also log maintenance requests directly on their tablet, allowing the resort team to fix issues with minimal contact.

Hotel Services & Experiences: Guests have the ability to explore images, videos, menus and various media content at their own pace. They can also discover food & beverage promotions, check the weather forecast and access information about resort services.

Both InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa and Grand Pacific Hotel plan to launch new Digital Concierge functionality for guests to enjoy in the coming months, such as the ability to make Spa reservations, book Golf tee-off times, make restaurant reservations and access content in their preferred language.

The introduction of the Tapendium Digital Concierge on a customised Samsung Galaxy tablet at InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa and Grand Pacific Hotel represents a significant step in the evolution of in-room directories, which have transitioned from plastic folders to contactless digital solutions for the modern luxury traveller.
