31st August 2023 (Suva, Fiji): September marks a momentous occasion at FNPF-owned IHG Fiji Hotels as we enthusiastically launch participation in the Global Giving For Good Month. This annual global event embodies the spirit of generosity, empathy, and community engagement, all of which are core values of IHG Hotels & Resorts.

Dedicated to making a positive impact, the three FNPF-owned IHG Hotels are committed to extending their support in a distinctive way. On Friday, 1st September, the entirety of proceeds from all coffee sales across InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel, and Holiday Inn Suva will be directed to support WOWS Kids Fiji, a distinguished charitable organization headquartered in Suva. WOWS Kids Fiji specializes in offering vital assistance to children battling cancer during their formative years, exemplifying an unwavering dedication to their well-being.

“We are immensely proud to launch the ‘Giving for Good’ month here in Fiji. At IHG, we understand the value of giving back, and this initiative allows us to extend our commitment beyond providing exceptional hospitality,” Lachlan Walker, Area General Manager – IHG Hotels & Resorts, FNPF Owner Hotels. “This September, our focus is not just on providing exceptional experiences for our guests but also on creating a lasting impact on the communities we call home. The partnership with WOWS Kids Fiji exemplifies our dedication to creating a positive impact in the lives of the children and families who need it the most.”

The Giving for Good Month is a heartfelt celebration of kindness and compassion, underscored by a resolute commitment to giving back to communities. As part of IHG’s overarching initiative, the Journey to Tomorrow, the brand has set a remarkable target to enhance the lives of 30 million individuals across the globe.

September is also International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. This is an annual international awareness month to raise support, funding, and awareness of childhood cancers and their impact on sufferers and families. It is symbolized by a gold ribbon worn to commemorate the event.
