To ensure the safety, security and comfort of guests staying at Grand Pacific Hotel Suva, we kindly request your cooperation in adhering to the following House Rules. These rules are established in accordance with the Fiji Health and Safety at Work Act 1996 and the Hotels and Guest House (Amendment) Act 2006.

Compliance with these guidelines helps us maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Should these rules not be observed, the Hotel reserves the right to refuse accommodation and restrict access to Hotel facilities.

Guests may also be held responsible for any loss or damage caused to Hotel property.

We appreciate your understanding and thank you for helping us create a pleasant stay for all.

 

 

Cultural Respect and Polite Communication

In Fijian culture, we express respect through calm and polite communication, avoiding raised voices and inappropriate language. This cultural emphasis on respect and composure is reflected in our daily life, fostering positive relationships and harmony. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding the mistreatment of our colleagues or guests.

Our colleagues and guests have the fundamental right to be treated with dignity and respect at all times, without the threat of raised voices, offensive language, intimidation, or violence.

We are here to collaborate with you in finding an amicable solution in case you encounter any issues. However, please be aware that any misconduct will not be tolerated and will result in individuals being asked to leave or be removed from the hotel premises and/or face involvement of law enforcement officers.

Safety, Security, and Comfort

Your safety, security, and comfort are our highest priorities. We kindly ask for your cooperation with the following guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay for all guests:

  • Room & Environmental Comfort: Due to our tropical oceanfront location, please keep balcony doors closed to prevent insects and reduce condensation caused by humidity, and ensure all room entry and sliding doors are securely closed and locked when unattended.

  • Personal Safety & Property: Kindly secure valuables such as cash, passports, jewellery, and electronic devices in the in-room safe, as the Hotel cannot be held responsible for items left unsecured in rooms or public areas, in accordance with the Hotels and Guest House (Amendment) Act 2006 (Act No. 9), Section 15.

  • Identification & Access Control: Valid photo identification verifying age is required for all guests (including children) at check-in, for accompanying guests at registration, and for any visitor accessing guest floors or rooms; copies are securely stored for internal security purposes and may be provided to authorities if officially requested.

  • Swimming Pool Policy: The Hotel swimming pool is strictly reserved for in-house guests only and is not included with restaurant, bar, dining, or event visits; this policy cannot be waived and supports the safety, privacy, and comfort of staying guests.

  • Public Area Consideration: Curated music is provided in public areas to enhance ambience; we kindly request that personal music, videos, or sports programs be enjoyed using headphones out of consideration for others.

  • Respectful Conduct: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward misconduct, intimidation, offensive language, or violence toward guests or colleagues; any such behavior may result in removal from the premises and/or involvement of law enforcement.

Photography & Filming

We invite our guests to capture special moments during their stay.

To ensure the comfort, privacy, and enjoyment of all guests:

  • Mobile phone photography for personal use is welcome in public areas.
  • Photography or filming of other guests is discouraged.
  • Photography or filming of hotel colleagues requires their consent.

Organised photography, including weddings, celebrations, or any session involving a paid photographer or professional equipment, requires prior written approval and may be subject to fees and conditions.

Grand Pacific Hotel reserves the right to restrict or stop photography or filming at any time to protect guest privacy, safety, and hotel operations.
