Tuesday, 2nd July 2024 (Suva, Fiji): Grand Pacific Hotel Suva, an iconic 5-star heritage property located on the stunning Suva Waterfront, proudly announces a special wine pairing dinner featuring the acclaimed French-style Australian winemaker, Will De Beaurepaire. De Beaurepaire is a 5-star Halliday-rated winery and was awarded the Best Wine in Australia in 2018 by Winestate Magazine. This exclusive event will be held on Saturday, 6th July 2024, commencing at 5:30 pm at the picturesque Matua Lawn.
Guests will be warmly welcomed to Matua Lawn, overlooking the tranquil Suva waterfront, where they will begin their evening with exquisite sunset canapés paired with a refreshing Crémant de Rosé. The experience will then transition to an expertly curated five-course dinner, each course meticulously paired with celebrated wines from De Beaurepaire, offering a harmonious blend of flavours and aromas designed to elevate the dining experience.
The carefully crafted menu promises a culinary journey, featuring dishes that complement the distinctive notes of De Beaurepaire wines. Highlights include the vibrant native bush lemon-cured mahi-mahi paired with a crisp Semillon Sauvignon Blanc and the savory roasted garlic-rubbed rack of lamb accompanied by a robust Cabernet Sauvignon. The evening culminates with a decadent dessert crafted by Executive Pastry Chef Samuel Hutabarat, featuring a pineapple cheesecake with delightful textures, perfectly paired with a luscious Viognier.
Will De Beaurepaire, representing the family-owned De Beaurepaire Wines established in 1998, will guide guests through the evening, sharing insights and stories about their elegant, balanced, and age-worthy wines. The De Beaurepaire family pioneered the Rylstone wine region in New South Wales, Australia, attracted by its ancient limestone-rich terroir and ultra-cool inland climate, reminiscent of their homeland of Burgundy.
