Fine features. Fine dining.
Suva’s iconic Grand Pacific Hotel is building a reputation for it’s food as well as it’s looks. It reopened in May 2014 on the hundredth anniversary of its original opening with its rich colonial architecture, history combined with magnificent Fijian hospitality and friendliness.
There are six different venues to choose from, you can enjoy everything from a quick poolside snack to a magnificent a la carte banquet.
Most of the dining venues are located in the main Heritage building. The menus at the grand old lady draws its flavours and traditions from the Pacific. Hotel general manager Peter Gee said it was important that they buy and use locally produced food at the GPH.
The Vudi Vakasoso dessert featured pays homage to a traditional Fijian dish, with plantain bananas poached in coconut milk infused with cinnamon and cardamom, then drizzled with sugar cane caramel and garnished with mint.
